ZARP Stablecoin
ZARP is a fully collateralised stablecoin for the South African rand, issued by Inves Capital (Pty) Ltd. Every token in circulation is backed by reserves held in cash and money-market instruments and managed by Old Mutual Wealth. This page publishes the backing alongside supply on each network, how well ZARP is maintaining its peg to the rand in open DeFi venues, and settlement activity, so that the collateralisation behind the token can be checked independently. On-chain volume
Total ZARP moved per day across all networks — settlement activity, not exchange trading volume. Payments and DEX swaps are both counted; issuance and redemption are excluded.
The shaded days use an outdated tracking methodology that excludes substantive data. From 19 Aug 2026 on it reports total on-chain movement and provides a more accurate overview. The two are not comparable and are deliberately not added together.
ZARP price in DeFi (not peg)
One ZARP can only ever be redeemed for one Rand with the issuer, so the true price of ZARP is always one Rand. The below chart is priced from decentralised exchange (DEX) pools and converted at the Chainlink ZAR/USD reference rate. This provides an overview of how accurately the price of the Rand is being tracked by ZARP in public markets, but should not be viewed as an accurate indication of the ‘price of ZARP’.

What is published here, where each number comes from, and what is not shown.
Supply is read from the ZARP token contracts directly on each blockchain network. Transaction counts and volume come from an index of every ZARP transfer event, tracked on-chain. DeFi price uses the Chainlink ZAR/USD reference feed. Reserve balances are reported by Inves Capital from its banking and money-market accounts.
Figures are published once daily and not streamed live, so that what appears here is the same audited record used in Inves Capital's reporting. This page shows aggregate figures only; wallet-level detail, counterparty balances and market-making positions are not published here.
